Derek Cecil has been working nonstop with memorable supportingroles in classy projects. From starring opposite Brie Larson in LESSONS INCHEMISTRY to starring opposite Michelle Pfeiffer in THE FIRST LADY where he is literally embodying to a tee DonaldRumsfeld. He also has a nice arc as Senator Henshaw in Amazon's JACK RYAN. He's had memorable turns in HBO's THE OUTSIDER opposite CynthiaErivo as her love interest and has shown his comedic chops opposite AndrewRannells in SHOWTIME's BLACK MONDAY.   

Derek may be best known for hisseries regular work on the iconic and critically acclaimed Netflix series HOUSEOF CARDS where he played Seth Grayson, a political public relationsrepresentative working for the Underwoods. In the feature space, Derek has awonderful supporting role in THE TOMORROW MAN opposite John Lithgow and BlytheDanner which made a premiere at Sundance in 2019. Cecil has worked for 20 yearsin theater, film and television. Cecil has also played recurring roles overmultiple seasons of Cinemax's "Banshee" and HBO's "Treme."
